5 Must Watch TED Talks on Education
Whenever I get some free time in the morning, do you know what is the first thing that I do? Watch a TED video. TED talks are short, amazing and educative. They are inspiring and though provoking. There are a great number of amazing TED talks in different sections. In this article I am going to share the 5 must watch TED talks on Education.
1. “Do Schools kills creativity?” by Ken Robinson
This is by far the best TED talk I have watched in any category. Sir Ken Robinson, through this inspiring talk, is calling for a complete renewal of the current education system.
2. “Kids, Take Charge” by Kiran Sethi
Kiran Sethi is the founder of Riverside school in Ahmedabad and she explains in this TED India talk how she made the kids believe in ‘I can’.
3. “Let’s Teach For Mastery- Not Test Scores” by Salman Khan
I love this talk. And what he says makes complete sense. Would you choose to build a house on top of an unfinished foundation? Of course not. Why, then, do we rush students through education when they haven’t always grasped the basics?. Listen to Salman Khan, the founder of Khan Academy speaking about his education model.
4. “The Best Kindergarten You Have Ever Seen” by Takaharu Tezuka
This is a must watch video, even if you choose not to watch the rest. This kindergarten is the best thing I have ever seen and I have a dream to build something like this. It is truly inspiring. Let the kids play and have fun when they can enjoy it fully.
5. “How I Teach Kids To Love Science” by Cesar Harada
This guy is awesome. I wish I had a teacher like him in my primary school days.
