Building The Next-Gen Armed Forces: RIMC Dehradun Invites Students For 8th Standard Admissions
Rashtriya Indian Military College invite applications from male students for admissions to 8th Standard. Students who wish to join the Indian Armed forces, viz Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, and are studying in 7th standard can submit their applications to RIMC Dehradun. Last Date for submitting applications is March 30, 2017.
About RIMC Dehradun
RIMC Dehradun is an educational institution established in 1922 under the Ministry of Defense, Government of India. RIMC provides international quality education to the students, aiming to prepare them for joining the armed forces.
Age of the applicants should be greater than 11 and a half, but less than 13. Age is calculated with reference to 01 January 2018. So, applicants must be born between 02 January 2005 and 01 July 2006. Applicants must be either studying in 7th standard in an approved school or completed 7th standard.
There are 3 parts for the admission procedure:
- Common Entrance Examination
- Personal Interview
- Medical Test
Entrance Examination Pattern
There will be three papers for the entrance exam. First paper will be on English Proficiency and will be of 2 hours duration. Second paper will test the applicant’s mathematical abilities. Third and the last paper will be on General Knowledge and will of 1 hour time span. Candidates should secure at least 50% marks in all three papers to get selected for the personal interview.

You will receive the materials by speed post. Filled applications are not be send directly to RIMC Dehradun. Instead the guardian of the applicant must submit the applications to the officer-in-charge at the state when they applicant permanently resides.
2 copies of the applications are to be sent along with 3 passport size photos as well as necessary certificates.
